Maple glazed salmon
This delicious recipe features maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, ginger, garlic, soy and some seasonings, which form a tasty glaze on your salmon. This is a very simple glaze. All you need to do is mix the above ingredients in a bowl, then place your salmon on a baking pan and coat it with the glaze. Allow the glaze to marinate on the salmon in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, turning it once in the process. You can then bake the salmon for about 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
The combination of the maple syrup and balsamic vinegar gives a pleasant sweetness that’s not too sweet, as the bitterness of the vinegar helps to provide a bit of balance.
King salmon chili
Here’s something a bit more unique: you can turn your king salmon into the base for a really excellent chili. You can use a lot of the same ingredients you’d use in a chicken chili that pair well with white meats, including white beans, poblano peppers, coriander, cumin, diced tomatoes, bell peppers, celery and cilantro.
When you make the chili, the salmon will be added relatively late, after you’ve already got a nice chili forming with the beans, vegetables and other seasonings. You only need to let the salmon sit in the pot with the rest of the ingredients until it’s cooked through. This should amount to about four or five minutes of simmering. When you stir the salmon, do so carefully so you don’t break it up too much; this chili is best if there are some hearty salmon chunks in it.
Curry salmon kebabs
Enjoy the flavor of curry? You can make some delicious salmon kebabs with a curry taste. We recommend making the marinade with Thai curry powder, grapeseed oil, smoked paprika, water, ginger, minced garlic and lime juice. Mix all of those ingredients together in a bowl, and put the salmon in a baking dish with some red onion, bell peppers and zucchini, pouring in the marinade. Let the mixture sit together in the refrigerator before you skewer everything. Cook on the grill for five to seven minutes, rotating once until the salmon is fully cooked through.
Alaskan king salmon with blueberry sauce
The sweetness of blueberries makes for a surprisingly perfect pairing with king salmon. You can cook some blueberries with a bit of white wine, lemon juice, lemon zest and thyme leaves to create a delicious sweet and savory sauce. A dash of salt can bring out the blueberries even more. The sauce served on top of perfectly cooked king salmon is a delicious treat.
