"I talked to Rhett last January when I booked our charter. I ended up talking for almost an hour and a half. After the conversation with Rhett the next six months seemed forever. When we finally arrived at McKinley Lodge our charter was for early the next morning. Because the shuttles didn't start that early, Margo spent about two hours on the road coming to the lodge to pick us up. She surely is a special lady. We spent the morning on the river with their guide. What a special person he is. He met all of our needs and then some. It ended up my wife paid for an afternoon charter the same day as a birthday present for me. A special day became even more special. Another client and I had the treat fishing with Meko and one of the other guides Cameron who is also a special young man. We ended up catching fish most of the afternoon. In fact, we all limited out and had to put some back! We ended missing the shuttle back to the lodge and had to wait an hour and a half for the next shuttle. When I asked Margo if she could drive us back she didn't hesitate a second. Thanks to her we didn't have to wait and get back late. What an experience. I can not say enough about Rhett, Margo, Meko and Cameron. We weren't treated like clients; we were treated as family! I have fished all my life and no other trip comes even close to what I experienced with Phantom Salmon Charters. I live in New York and I'm already planing a return trip to Talkeetna. Thank you Rhett and Margo can not wait til we visit you again."

"Got up at 2:30 to make the trip to Talkeetna, on the boat at 4:30, a little early for a guy on vacation. Doug took us upstream to his secret spot, and 5 of us had our limit of Sockeye within an hour. He was extremely patient and helpful to those who were less than professional fishermen. Great equipment, great people, don't sit on the fence, just do it."

"My children and I went on one of their trips yesterday...it was a BLAST! Even though we didn't catch any keepers (hopefully next time)...we still have a fun time. Our guide was Doug...he was awesome! He was very helpful when any of us had a fish on the line...and super patient with my daughter as she fought the kings on the end of her line. Seriously folks...they are a great charter! When visiting Talkeetna or looking for a charter....go through them! You WILL NOT regret it. This is our second year with them and we are already planning on going back next year... :) Thanks again guys for a great time!!"

"My boyfriend and I took my mom fishing with Phantom Salmon Charters for her 65th birthday, and they certainly delivered a fantastic experience! We each caught a good-size King Salmon! The boat was covered so we were never cold when the boat was running, which was important for my mom. The coverings are opened up once we arrived at the fishing spots. The guide gave us great fishing tips, took us to several different spots to make sure we were where the fish were and each location was a different setting, which provided nice variety. The time on the river was so incredible. I highly recommend Phantom above all others. We heard some unfortunate stories from others who did not have a good experience. Their boats were not covered, and they were very cold. And the guides were not as helpful or friendly. They also didn't go to as many fishing spots as we did."
