"My husband and I and our two teenage children (13 years and 15 years) visited the Talkeetna area during the land tour portion of our Alaska Vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 hour fishing trip with our guide. He took such good care of us and we had a blast. The scenery was so beautiful! The fishing trip was probably the highlight of the trip for our 15 year old son. I would highly recommend booking a trip with Phantom Salmon Charters if you are going to the Talkeetna, AK area. We were able to ship home the fish we wanted to keep...it is delicious! Thanks so much Margo and Rhett!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our fishing trip. Our captain did a great job of getting us to the fish and getting us set up. We would have liked to catch more silvers and some sockeye, but the outfitter can’t control where the fish are. We caught plenty of fish. Our fish were cleaned, filleted, packaged, and frozen. Margo had some very good options for transporting our fish home to Illinois. The fish made it home with us and were still frozen. We had a great time with Phantom Salmon Charters."

"They picked us up at the B and B we were staying at. They supplied us with everything we needed (waders, pole, tackle). They got us to a great spot. Helped net the fish. Took care of the cleaning so you could go right back to fishing. Cleaned the fish at the end, filleted them and packaged them up in zip locks. My husband LOVED it. He caught his limit of salmon (I caught a rock!) and had a great time. Hints: Wear really, really warm socks if you don't have your own waders. There are no bathrooms in the wilderness (- be prepared!). Bring a snack if you are going to need it and water (you are on your own for personal supplies)"

"I talked to Rhett last January when I booked our charter. I ended up talking for almost an hour and a half. After the conversation with Rhett the next six months seemed forever. When we finally arrived at McKinley Lodge our charter was for early the next morning. Because the shuttles didn't start that early, Margo spent about two hours on the road coming to the lodge to pick us up. She surely is a special lady. We spent the morning on the river with their guide. What a special person he is. He met all of our needs and then some. It ended up my wife paid for an afternoon charter the same day as a birthday present for me. A special day became even more special. Another client and I had the treat fishing with Meko and one of the other guides Cameron who is also a special young man. We ended up catching fish most of the afternoon. In fact, we all limited out and had to put some back! We ended missing the shuttle back to the lodge and had to wait an hour and a half for the next shuttle. When I asked Margo if she could drive us back she didn't hesitate a second. Thanks to her we didn't have to wait and get back late. What an experience. I can not say enough about Rhett, Margo, Meko and Cameron. We weren't treated like clients; we were treated as family! I have fished all my life and no other trip comes even close to what I experienced with Phantom Salmon Charters. I live in New York and I'm already planing a return trip to Talkeetna. Thank you Rhett and Margo can not wait til we visit you again."
